Basic music education and training courses

children's choir course

The Puccini Festival Children’s Choir was founded with the aim of offering young people high-level musical training within one of Italy’s most prestigious opera contexts, the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago.

The choir is a vocal and artistic workshop dedicated to discovering the voice as an expressive instrument and promoting the choral repertoire for children’s voices, with a particular focus on the great Italian operatic tradition and the musical heritage of Giacomo Puccini.

Through technical and interpretative study, young singers are introduced to musical and theatrical language, learning the fundamental skills for choral practice and participation in major opera and concert productions.

The main objectives of the course are therefore:

  • training the voice and musical ear;
  • training in choral singing and ensemble work;
  • the development of stage and musical interpretation.

The children of the Puccini Festival Children’s Choir will participate in the operas Turandot, Tosca, and La Boheme, scheduled for the 72nd Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago in 2026.
